Biography:

Oxana has 30 years of experience working in music schools, colleges and conservatories She has taught classes in piano performance, piano duet and accompaniment classes. She prepared students for participation in piano concerts, competitions and festivals, and has performed as an accompanist to a diversity of instrumentalists, singers and choirs. Upon arriving to Canada in 2009, she successfully established herself as a highly qualified piano professional and dedicated piano teacher.

During one year and half she has earned the reputation of a committed piano teacher enhancing their students with profound knowledge and passion to music. Among her students there are winners of ORMTA (Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association), Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival, Davenport Music Festival, The Greater Toronto Music, Ukrainian Music Festival, Chinese Cultural Centre Music Festival, North York Music Festival, Lion Music festival. At the same time, she works well with students who have many demands on their time and for whom music is not always a top priority. She helps structure workable practice schedules which fit in with and enhance homework and other activities. Her approach is to introduce music as an enjoyable and productive part of everyday life leading to better performance all around.

Oxana easily connects with every student in order to interest and involve him/her in the full extent in music creation. She shows great patience working with young children. Her warm personality, personal charisma and individual approach inspire students and produce outstanding results. Oxana creates a positive atmosphere for learning, progress and fun for her students. She takes special care of each student's individual needs and goals.

Oxana grew up and received her education in Russia. The Russian music system is famous for its selectivity and rigorous training. Students must learn a great number of musical subjects including piano performance, accompaniment, duet class, theory, choir, music history, music repertoire, methodology and psychology, etc. It was expected that every student at the music school spends many hours a day practicing and considers music as the top priority and the future career. After a total of 17 years of intensive studies, she graduated from the Saratov State Conservatory (Master's Degree with First Honours) with qualifications of a piano teacher, chamber ensemble soloist and accompanist.
